Veteran’s Golf: Jan 22

HIGH humidity was felt by the 26 Vets who played a stroke and putting event at Aberdeen Golf Club on Tuesday, January 22. It was great to welcome back former captain Max Holz. Also welcome were the course’s new fairway distance markers.
Andy Medway made it two wins in two weeks with nett 65 from Col Solway 2nd 66, 3rd Rod Auld 67, 4th Des Partridge 68 C/B and 5th Rod Upton 68 C/B.
Balls went to Les Brown 68, Tommy Thompson and Graham Guest 69, Gary Gray and President Bruce Robinson 70 and Max Holz, Captain Phil Ledgerwood, Graham Turvey and Terry Mitchell 71.
The Bradman’s trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley was won by Jock O’Connor. The best scratch score of 78 was recorded by Bruce Robinson. The putting wine, kindly donated by Aberdeen Recreation Club, was won by Rod Auld with 25 putts, for the second month in a row.
