Veteran’s Golf: February 5

Thirty-two Vets played an individual and two ball best ball stableford event at Muswellbrook Golf Club on Tuesday, 5th January in very warm and humid conditions. Welcome to visitor from Singleton, Wayne Taylor. Mal Bruce was present and thanked the Vets who came to June Morris’s (his partner’s) funeral last week.
Red Palmer and Lindsay Hodge recorded an excellent 50 points to take first place from Gary Gray and Captain Phil Ledgerwood 2nd 48 and Brian Dever and Terry Mitchell 3rd 45 C/B.
Balls went to George Campbell and Graham Guest & Ross Banks and Treasurer Bob Minch 45, Pam Minch and Sheree Piskorz & Les Brown and Des Partridge 43 and Gerrit de Boer and Martin Byrne 41.
The best individual scores were: Lindsay Hodge 45, Gary Gray 44 and Graham Guest 40.
The Bradman’s trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley, was won by Yvonne Robinson.
