Veteran’s Golf: Feb 28.

For the first time in history the 27 Vets present played a stroke and putting game, along with the Captain’s team v the President’s team event, at Aberdeen Golf Club on Tuesday, February 28.
The winners were the Captain’s team with a total of 956 strokes as opposed to the President’s team’s total of 1018.
Individually, Graham Turvey had the best round with nett 60 from Terry Mitchell 68 and then came Graham Guest, Captain Max Holz and Robert Colbert 69 in count-back order.
Balls went to Peter Daunton and Phil Ledgerwood 70, Brian Dever, President Paul Gorman, Les Brown and Bob Thorley 71, Des Partridge, Graham Boles and Bob Minch 73 and Lyn Banks 74.
The best scratch score was by Terry Mitchell with 78 C/B and Terry also won the putting wine with 26 putts.

Future Games Tuesdays: March 7- two person ambrose at Murrurundi; March 14 – stroke and putting at Aberdeen; March 21 – stableford at Denman. Hit-offs by 8am please.
