Veteran’s Golf: Feb 14

Twenty-six veterans turned up at Scone Golf Club on Tuesday, February 14 for their stableford event.

Thank you to the many volunteers who keep the fairways trimmed and for the removal of dead trees.

Thank you also to Ross and Lyn Banks for helping with the score cards, to Michael behind the bar and the caterers for the great lunch menu.

The scoring was hot and close while the weather was mild compared to last weekend.

Jim Elder won with 42 points, 2nd was Doug Dowell 41 C/B, 3rd Phil Ledgerwood 41 and 4th Gary Gray 40 C/B.

Balls went to Wayne Murphy and Lyn Banks 40, Graham Boles 39, Tommy Thompson 36 including a birdie 4 for 5 points on the first, and Terry Mitchell, Milton Reid, Rod Auld and Graham Turvey 35.
