Veteran’s Golf: Aug 6

The 31 Vets had to all hit-off from the first tee for a change due to the coring of some greens at Muswellbrook on Tuesday, August 6 in the (stroke) first round of the 2019 Championships.
Brian Dever had the best nett score of 65 from Terry Mitchell 2nd 68, Les Brown 3rd 69, Gary Morley 4th 70 and Kim Robinson 5th 71 C/B.
Balls went to Graham Turvey 71, Ross Banks 72, Martin Byrne 73, Graham Boles and Red Palmer 74, Tony Pringle, Kevin Warby and Bruce Robinson 75 and Jim Elder and Treasurer Bob Minch 76.
The Bradman’s Trophy, kindly sponsored by Gary Morley was won by Bob Keating.

In the championships, stroke, in A Grade Kim Robinson leads by 3 shots from Terry Mitchell and Ross Banks; in B Grade Gary Morley leads by 7 from Graham Turvey, Bob Minch and Des Partridge; in C Grade Les Brown leads by 1 to Brian Dever.
