DRY conditions prevail in the Upper Hunter but the tees, greens and some of the fairways at Scone Golf Course are green due to the care of the ground staff.

The caterers deserve praise for the high value lunches available.
There were 21 Vets at Scone on Tuesday, April 12 for a stableford event, the first round of the NSWVGA Medal.
Local Ross Banks played great golf for 39 points (76 off the stick) to win from Nellie Holz 2nd 38, Jeff McKeon 3rd 37 C/B and Captain Max Holz 4th 37.
In the ball comp balls went to Wayne Murphy, Jim Elder and Reg Davidson 36, Graham Boles and Bob Thorley 35, and Phil Ledgerwood and Graham Guest 34.
Nearest the Pins: 2nd Max Holz 8th Paul Gorman 11th Wayne Murphy 17th Robert Colbert.
On Tuesday, April 19 we play a stableford event at Denman, April 26 we play a stableford event at Murrurundi (medal game) and May 3 we play for the Ossie Miles Trophy (stableford) at Muswellbrook, with all hit-offs 8am-8.30.
Don’t forget Thursdays April 28 at Crowne Plaza, Cessnock ($55 for golf, cart and lunch) and May 19 at Muswellbrook for the inaugural Mixed Open stableford ($25 for golf and lunch).
