Update: Aberdeen Street Service Station
COUNCIL have received a flood mitigation report for the proposed development of a service station, motel and restaurant on Aberdeen Street, near the bypass in Scone.
Members of the community have previously expressed concerns about the location of the proposed development in terms of flooding, the impact on existing businesses with another motel and roadside restaurant and the potential that it may be a disincentive for bypass traffic coming into the township.
The flood mitigation report will be assessed by Council and then go on public display for community comment, before going back to Council for a decision on the development.
Council have not indicated the time frame for when the report will be publicly available.
