Total Fire Ban Today

THERE is a total fire ban in place today in the Upper Hunter Shire area and the bush fire rating is severe.

Landholders are advised to review their bushfire plan and reminded if they know of any water sources in their local area to notify the Liverpool Plains Rural Bushfire Service. Read: Firefighters Plea for Water Locations.

During a total fire ban no fires may be lit in the open and all fire permits are suspended.

Weather Forecast

Winds will begin north to northwesterly before turning west to northwesterly and reaching speeds of up to 50 km an hour.

Temperatures in Scone are expected to reach 33 degrees, but a cool change will come towards the end of the day, bringing a 30 chance of a light shower. 

Tomorrow’s maximum temperature is expected to be 19 degrees.
