Three Medals Brought Home

ROD Eadie won the gold medal on the weekend in the Grappling Industries jiu jitsu tournament in Sydney on the weekend and his son Lachlan won the silver in his division.

Rod Eadie who runs Jiu Jitsu Dynamix in Scone, said he had seven fights on Sunday in the master advanced division, three fights in the gi where he won silver and four in the no gi where he won gold.

“I was happy with the result of gold, but there are still elements of my game that I came away wanting to work on,” said Mr Eadie.

Lachlan Eadie, a 16 year old competed in the adult advanced 71 kilo division and his dad said he did amazingly well to achieve silver.

“He is a blue belt who was competing in the adult advanced division against very experienced competitors,” said Mr Eadie.

“It was awesome; he’s definitely showing he is a formidable opponent and it was a very close fight between gold and silver,” Rod Eadie said.
