This Cup – No Picnic
EVER since the Scone Cup began race goers have been able to take a picnic and enjoy the races, but the tradition has been broken this year with a new ban being introduced on the picnic basket.
The Scone Race Club has banned on any food being brought into the race course on Friday for the Scone Cup stating on their website that there will be plenty of food options available on course, including different dietary options.
No bottled water will be allowed into the grounds and any contra ban will be disposed of by staff, further warning there will be no compensation for any losses.
They are still allowing blankets and chairs to be brought to the course and empty water bottles which can be filled at water stations.
