Aberdeen Railway Station

The Aberdeen Railway Station is located on the New England Highway, near the intersection of Graeme Street, Aberdeen. The station is not staffed; the nearest partially staffed station is at Muswellbrook. The phone number for the Muswellbrook railway station is: 02 6543 1018.

  • Train services: Aberdeen Railway Station is serviced by Sydney Trains and TrainLink. For information on timetables and services, go to the train services page.
  • Tickets: There are no ticket facilities at the Aberdeen Railway Station.
    • For Sydney Trains services, you need to have an OPAL card to travel on these train services. Find your nearest OPAL card retailer. Please note OPAL card retailers only sell cards for adults and children, pensioners and concessions need to order a card.
    • TrainLink tickets, previously known as CountryLink, can be purchased online at http://www.nswtrainlink.info/, over the phone on 13 22 23 or in person at the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre.
    • Bus interchange: There is also a bus shelter near the entrance to the railway station. During track work, bus services replace train services and people simply depart from the same location.
    • Wheelchair access: The station is accessible by wheelchair. However the station is not staffed and it is recommended a friend or career provide assistance.

The Aberdeen Railway Station was opened in 1870.
