Trains
Scone is serviced by:
- Sydney Trains: Formerly known as CityRail, Scone is the farthest station on the Hunter Line of the service. When travelling to Sydney on this service, you will usually have to change trains at Hamilton. OPAL cards are required for all Sydney Train services.
- Train Link: Formerly known as CountryLink, is a daily service between Sydney-Armidale-Moree.

Tickets
Sydney Trains tickets can be purchased at your destination on the Hunter line or when you change trains at Hamilton before going to Sydney. There are no ticket facilities at Scone or Aberdeen railway stations. Please note you can be fined if you do not purchase a ticket, or can’t show how you will purchase at the destination, such as carrying cash or an EFTPOS card.
