Teachers Doing Easter Egg Drive-Bys
ST Mary’s school teachers have spent the last two afternoons in a car convoy driving by all of the students homes to view their Easter Hats and throw out some Easter cheer in the form of chocolate.
They have travelled to all ends of the Shire driving past each home and this afternoon after driving the township of Scone will head to Segenhoe and Rouchel.
Kim Wilson, principal of St Mary’s Primary School Scone, said the teachers were missing the students and they thought a delivery was a great way connect.
“It has been so wonderful seeing the Easter hats they have made, even if it’s just from afar,” said Ms Wilson.
“Just to see their beaming little faces is great,” she said.
“It’s one thing to see them on Zoom and for them to see each other online, but the deliveries are just a lovely way to see them in person even if just for a few moments,” she said.
“It’s been fun for all of us,” said Kim Wilson.
