Stock Report: April 19
By Stuart Sheldrake.
THERE were fewer cattle yarded today, only 950.
There were a few cows penned, but no bullocks to quote on.
Cows were cheaper by 10 cents, however the trade market was a fraction stronger on last week.
There was a mixed yard in the trade market, but fewer weaners, probably because there will be a weaner sale on Thursday.
Weaners sold 4 to 5 cents dearer, there was a bit more activity amongst the buyers.
Yearling cattle were also a fraction stronger and secondary cattle were stronger.
A mixed yarding overall in quality.
