Stock Report: Apr 5
By Stuart Sheldrake.
THERE was an increased yarding of 1297 today at the Scone saleyards.
The market was a fair bit cheaper.
One reason is the dry weather and fewer restock orders and the second is the export side of things, where the trim market has come right off.
The market was cheaper across all categories.
Cows were probably 10 to 15 cents cheaper, very few bullocks were yarded and bulls were 20 to 30 cents cheaper.
There was a good offering of weaner calves once again.
All good categories were 10 cents cheaper and the second lines were 20 to 25 cents cheaper.
There is not a lot of kill cattle around a present and if it was to rain we will be short of good finished cattle, but we just need some weather.
