Special Gift from Special Lady

EVA Mary Cone celebrated her 100th birthday yesterday and as part of her birthday celebrations $100 was donated to the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre in her name.

Lee Watts the manager of the Centre visited Mrs Cone today to thank her for the generous donation and wish her a happy birthday.

“It is a very kind gift, from a very kind lady and her family that will help our local community,” said Mrs Watts.

“I remember Mrs Cone being at the local swimming pool when her daughter-in-law Jan taught local children how to swim and it is lovely to see she has reached 100 and has a lovely attitude to life,” Lee Watts said.
