Show As Good As Ever
ORGANISERS of the Merriwa Springtime Show were pleasantly surprised that the numbers at this year’s show held firm during the drought.
“It was much better than we expected the gate takings were equal to last year, our bar was up 15 percent on last year, overall entries in most sections were equal to if not better than last year, so overall it was a really successful day,” said Rob Tindall, president of the Show.
“The highlight of the whole Show was the Wideland Challenge, so many people commented on how good it was with the participation from everyone, so next year we will fire it more,” he said.
“The esky races were great and overall there was just a really positive vibe and people enjoyed it,” he said.
“And we had exhibitors and people come from throughout probably a third of the state, which was really good,” Rob Tindall said.
Diary Note: The 2019 Merriwa Springtime Show will be held the weekend of September 20-22.
