Severe weather warning continues
AT approximately 3:28 this afternoon, the Bureau of Meteorology issued another severe weather warning, which is expected to affect Scone and other parts of the Upper Hunter for the next several hours.
Severe thunderstorms are predicted and are likely to produce damaging winds, hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding.
At the time of this post, there were no severe wind gusts observed in the Scone vicinity, with a maximum of 14 knots recorded today however, this is expected to increase.
Similar to yesterday, thunderstorm conditions have been created by an inland trough, tropical moisture from the north and day time heat, with the atmosphere flowing in a westerly direction moving the storms east towards the coast.
