Scone Wins World Polo League’s Founders Cup!!
TODAY in Florida, the Scone polo team added the World Polo League’s Founders Cup to their collection, set to sit alongside the Queen’s Cup, which they shocked everyone by winning last year and prompting comparisons to the Jamaican bobsled team.
They may have been able to pass off the Queen’s Cup as a fluke, but the jig may now be up and David Paradice might not be able to get away with playing things down, with such serious players and convincing wins.
In the final, Scone won 11 – 6 over SD Farms and in the opener on Friday won 11 to 6 against Seminole Casino.
Playing for Scone Diego Cavanagh won the most amount of goals during the tournament with 21 overall and Poroto Cambiaso ranked sixth with 10 goals.
