Scone Stock Report: September 6
There were 916 cattle yarded at Scone this week with a reduced number due to the rain over the weekend.
An increase in cows saw a very strong cow market up 5 to 10, bullocks were easier but not by much.
The majority of the yarding was made up of good kill cattle and plainer lines of lighter weight weaners along with a few heavier yearlings.
The grain fed cattle were fully firm on last weeks quotes, the best of the light weight weaners were a lot dearer by 10 to 15 cents.
Steer calves sold to firm rates on last weeks quotes, heifers were a fair bit dearer than last weeks quotes, yearling cattle sold to firm rates.
There is a store cattle sale in Scone on Thursday, September 22.
