Scone Stock Report: October 24

1280 cattle were yarded today with a couple of hundred export cattle on offer.

Cows were firm with plainer lines five to six cents dearer.

The majority of the market were restocker weaner and yearling cattle, not as many finished cattle were presented.

Restocker weaners were ten to twelve cents dearer with the yearling five cents dearer and more in places.

Fat cattle were firm on last weeks quotes and feeder steers were five to eight cents dearer.

The firmer prices have come on the back of the rain here and in the north.

Our mini field day was well attended with our suppliers pleased with the day, thank you to all those that came along.
