Scone Stock Report: Oct 25
By Stuart Sheldrake
THERE was an increased yarding of 1075 cattle this week.
There was a similar number of export cattle but cows were 10 to 15 cents cheaper and and bulls were about the same.
There was a bigger yarding of trade cattle this week and a lot of yearling cattle coming forward, off crop with a bit of weight.
They were very similar to last weeks market, the only thing that might have been cheaper were plain cattle again.
Yearling and feeder steers in place may have even been a couple of cents better.
The best of the butcher calves were firm and light weight weaners were slightly cheaper again by about 5 cents.
Overall it was aa pretty good market.
