Scone Stock Report: May 31

1520 cattle were yarded yesterday in a yarding that presented a lot of plainer cattle due to seasonal conditions and cold weather.
The majority of the yarding was made of yearling and weaner cattle all showing the effects of the season.
A plainer offering of export cattle presented with cows making up the majority.
Cows were firm to slightly easier on last week mainly due to quality.
A very good offering of weaner steers and heifers all sold at firm rates on last weeks quotes.
A fair number of good yearling cattle as well as secondary cattle were also penned and they sold at firm rates.
A good hadnful of butcher calves were on offer which sold to dearer rates with the tops making to $3.35 a kilo for approximately 400kg.
Feeder cattle were dearer, steers and heifers between 380kg to 500kg were 5 to 8 cents dearer on last weeks market.

- There is a Palgrove – Charolais bull sale on Friday, June 3, starting at 1pm. There will be 50 outstanding Charolais bulls on offer.
- Also there is a clearing sale on Saturday, June 4 beginning at 9am at Dalmore on Nandowra Road, there will be signage. All equipment must be sold and there is some very good farm machinery and some outstanding house furniture.
