There was a good yarding of finished, grain fed cattle, along with feeder steers and heifers and a decent run of weaner cattle.
All markets were firm to 20 cents dearer.
Feeder steers are short in supply throughout the state at the moment, so they are well sort after.
The tops of those between 400-500 kilos, black steers were making up to $3.55.
The best of the feeder type heifers of 380-450 kilos made up to $3.22.
The weaner steers and heifers were probably fir on last week, there was no change really there.
However, good grain fed cattle could have been 5 – 10 cents dearer, with the tops of those calves being $3.52.
