Scone Stock Report: July 4
By Stuart Sheldrake
There was 1070 cattle yarded, cows sold firm to five cents cheaper, plainer cows sold five to six cents cheaper, bullocks sold to an easier trend.
The majority of the yarding again was made up of young cattle with the demand for better lines of cattle stronger this week.
Good killable calves, grain fed and also supplementary fed and milk vealer calves are getting few and far between with the demand for those five cents better across the board.
There were also good lines of weaner steers and yearling steers with the better lines of those selling firm to slightly dearer.
Where it did get a bit cheaper was in the secondary lines, especially for the heifer cow part at five to ten cents cheaper.
There is a store sale on Thursday July 20.
