Scone Stock Report: Dec 13
By Stuart Sheldrake
THERE were 1,185 cattle in an increased yarding yesterday, which saw export cattle cheapen five to ten cents.
Cows were similar in supply to last week and five to ten cents cheaper along with a handful of bullocks also selling to similar rates.
The trade market was very strong considering the hot dry weather we have been experiencing in the last fortnight, they sold to fully firm rates it could have even been a little better in places.
A very good run of trade cattle, kill cattle, sold to firm to five or six cents dearer.
Another good run of yearling cattle sold to fully firm rates along with some secondary lines of restocking cattle which sold maybe even a fraction dearer.
The market is holding well and the next sale will be January 3.
