Scone Stock Report: August 9
By Stuart Sheldrake
There were 904 cattle yarded in a market that just keeps improving every week, the best we’ve seen so far.
Very few export cattle were yarded with the market four to five cents dearer, the best cows topping out at 268 cents.
The majority of the yarding was made up of good grain finished cattle along with yearling and weaner cattle, all being 10 to fifteen cents dearer.
Weaners made up to $4.25 with the best of the yearling steers making up to $4.08.
Feeder steers made up to $4.05 with their heifer counterparts making up to four dollars.
Overall it was a very strong market.
