Scone Hockey: Round 10 Rescheduled

LAST weekend saw four of our girls represent the Hunter Hockey Association at the under 15’s state championships in Taree.

For a team that was formed by a mix of clubs including Scone, Nelson Bay, Oxfords, Maitland and Taree that only met an hour before the first game it was like they have been playing together for sometime prior to this.

The girls played exceptional well together, competitive at all times and made new and lasting friendships.

The team gained a lot of experience playing at this level and held their heads high and proud.

Good luck to our girls Phoebe Cox, Heidi Edlington, Olivia Ryan, Harriet Firth, Sophia Bell, Alby O’Regan  and coach Wayne Cox who are competing at Wagga Wagga this weekend representing Hunter Hockey Association in the under 13’s state championships, keep warm and play hard!

For any junior umpires wanting to obtain their umpire accreditation as a community umpire there will be an umpire development clinic being held at the Tamworth Carnival on July 15-17.

If you are interested in attending this please let Kim know as soon as possible so that your names can be put forward.

PLEASE NOTE: Discussions will be had at the next general meeting on Thursday, July 14 to decide when round 10 will be made up.
