Scone Golf Report: March 15 and 18

The Scone men’s senior golf team has won their way into the semi-finals of the Hunter River District Pennant. A win 2-1 over Singleton on Sunday March 18 secured their spot with Lindsay Hodge and George Davison winning narrowly on the 18^th, and Charlie Manning and Mick Alsleben being comfortable winners. Red Palmer and George Campbell went down in the other match. In the semi-finals to be played at Kurri on Sunday, March 25, Scone will play The Vintage, and Aberdeen will play Paterson.

In ladies golf played at Muswellbrook on Thursday, March 15, Jo Brown was the recipient of Lyn Banks’ trophy on a countback from Noreen Marshall.  On March 22 play is scheduled at Aberdeen on for a club trophy.
