Scone Golf: Nov 16 – 19

The round of the day was played by Tom Thompson last Saturday at Scone Golf Course when he finished with 45 points in the Joel Woods and Graham White stableford event.
This won him the C Grade prize.
Mick Reynolds had a great round of 2 over par, 43points, to win A Grade, whilst Charlie Manning won B Grade with 35 points.
In the NTP’s: Sandy Lettice won the 2nd / 11th with 1.90 metres, and on the 8th /17th Clayton Rogers, 4.1 metres, won the ball.
The ball winners were: Tom Thompson 45, Mick Reynolds 43, Joel Woods 40 and Clayton Rogers 38.
On Saturday November 26 the event will be an 18 Hole Stableford for George Betts’ Trophy.
In the Wednesday 9 Hole Red Tee Challenge, the first two prizes went to players who are out on the course nearly every day!
Reagan Murray is showing he knows his way about the course having 29 points and Scott Shann had a great 28 points.
Joseph Gleeson also had a fine round of 28 to win third prize.
It was a close contest in the last event for the ladies 18 hole golf season at Scone last Thursday, November 17.
The form players of late, Wendy Clift and Annie Woods, had 69 and ¾ nett to win the 2 Person Ambrose event by a quarter of a shot from Sarah Brooks and Lyn Banks.
Balls went to the above pairs and Jo Brown and Noreen Marshall.
Annie also took out the NTP on the 17th with a shot to 1.96 metres.
To top off a good week, on Saturday in the 18 Hole Stableford, Annie was the clear winner when she had another good round of 37 points and also reduced her handicap.
On Thursday, November 24 the ladies will start the 9 hole summer competition, with an 18 hole event in conjunction.
The first coffee comp sponsor will be The Fridge and The Frying Pan.
On Thursday, December 1, the ladies will play for the Royal Hotel Café prize.
Tickets are now available at the club for the annual combined Presentation Night on Saturday, December 3.
