MORE than 80 people attended the opening night of the Scone Art Prize on Friday, which had 292 works on display from Queensland, Sydney, the Central Coast, Newcastle and some local artists from Scone, Murrurundi and Muswellbrook.

The winner of the Bobbie Paradice prize valued at $5,000 was Julie Simmons from Castlereagh for her work “Morning in the Gorge”.
