Road Cleared

The sedan was involved in a rear end collision with a van and was unable to be driven off the Highway.

AT approximately 10:30am a van ran into the back of sedan, both traveling north, near the Scone Motor Inn on the New England Highway.

No one was injured.

Following the accident, the sedan was not able to be driven and blocked traffic on the highway.

When police and the fire brigade arrived they were able to move the car, clear the site and by 11:45am the road was cleared.

The driver of the sedan was a local Scone resident who had only had the car for three weeks.

The driver of the van and passengers were not local and were driving the hire vehicle to Tamworth.
