Upper Hunter Remembrance Day Services 2020
REMEMBRANCE Day Services on Wednesday, November 11 will be slightly different this year, due to COVID-19 restrictions.
For those attending Servies, wearing face masks is recommended and social distancing is to be maintained as per COVID-19 guidelines.
All visitors must sign in upon arrival and normal sanitisation practices apply.
Merriwa:
Merriwa is holding a private Service at the Memorial Garden at the RSL Club, beginning at 11am with a minutes silence.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Garden will be cordoned off from the general public and only Sub Branch members and invited guests and family members of Colin Reily will be in attendance.
Aberdeen:
The Aberdeen Service starts at 10:00am on the front lawn of the Aberdeen RSL Bowling Club.
Indoors, there will be ten tables made up of ten attendees.
Murrurundi:
Murrurundi will be hosting a small closed Service, with a maximum of 20 guests.
The Service will be held at the Memorial Gate on Mayne Street.
People are invited to attend the Memorial and lay wreathes outside of the service hours.
Social distancing will be enforced and visitors must sign in via QR code.
Scone:
The Scone Sub Branch of the Returned Services League will hold a Service in Scone, commending at 10:30am at the War Memorial Swimming Pool on Guernsey Street.
The community is invited to attend the Service however there is a limited attendance of 100 people, so registration is essential.
Names need to be provided to the Secretary at sconesb@rslnsw.org.auby by today.
The Secretary will advise those registering, if they have been accepted or if they have registered outside of the 100 person limit.
