Preparing Wills with Westpac Rescue

THE Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service has partnered with twelve solicitors in the Upper Hunter to help residents prepare or update their Will as part of the ‘Wills Week’ initiative.

From March 22 to 26, participating solicitors will be offering reduced prices for appointments, with all booking fee’s donated directly to the Westpac Rescue Service.

The ‘Wills Week’ initiative also allows people to consider bequest donations, which the Service sees as an incredible act of generosity and a gift of lasting legacy for the community.

Richard Jones OAM, Westpac Rescue Helicopter CEO said, “it is very humbling for all of us here at the Service when we see the generosity shown by people who have taken steps to establish a bequest in their Will.”

“Properly acknowledging this type of support is so important to us and we welcome the chance to discuss this type of donation with anyone seeking further information or insight about the type of impact their support can have,” said Mr Jones.

“We are really excited and so thankful for the support being given by over 60 solicitors stretching from the Central Coast, Hunter, New England and Northern NSW, who have made their time available to help us launch Wills Week in 2021,” he said.

Booking fee’s include $125 for individuals or $225 for couples and are only available for simple Will appointments, as bookings do not cover the drafting of Power of Attorney documents or complex Wills.

Privacy is respected at all times during Wills Week, with all information provided being strictly confidential between the applicant and the solicitor.

Online bookings are now open and close on Friday, February 26.
