People Searched, Knife Found
YESTERDAY police stopped two males, one aged 15 from Wingen and another aged 16 from Scone and conducted a search of them and their bag and found a knife with a large brown wooden handle.
The two males were known to police and were walking on Kelly Street, opposite Joan Street in Scone at approximately 5:20pm.
The knife was found in the 15 year olds green bag, in a pouch and concealed under some clothing.
Police seized the knife.
Animals Stolen
A ringneck parrot, a bird cage and a mini Angora rabbit were stolen from a shed on Marquet Street, Merriwa last weekend, sometime between 10:30 on Saturday and 9:30am on Sunday.
The ringneck parrot is approximately three years old and blue.
The Angora rabbit is white and tan.
The bird cage is made of approximately 60 x 60 x 80 centimetres
Malicious Damage to Sporting Fields
Between Wednesday at 4pm and Thursday at 6am a vehicle has done burn outs on three fields at the Bill Rose Sporting Complex which has ripped the lawn on the fields.
Theft from Ute
A laptop, drill, wallet and cash was stolen from a black Toyota Hilux ute parked on Widden Close, Scone sometime between 8:30pm on Wednesday and 6:5am on Thursday.
There were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle.
