P-Plater Blows Over
LAST Thursday at 2pm, a 31 year old female from Killarney Vale was driving a blue Holden Commodore station wagon, north on the New England Highway, Scone.
Police stopped the driver for a random breath test and allege she returned a reading of 0.019 grams of alcohol per 210 litres of breath.
The legal limit for a holder of a P2 provisional driver’s licence is no alcohol.
The driver is due to appear in Scone local court on March 23.
Wii Theft in Scone
On Friday between the 6:20 and 6:30pm a break occurred at property in Liverpool Street, Scone, through the rear unlocked door.
The property was unoccupied during this time and items were stolen including two USB drives, a small cylinder speaker, a black Wii console and a small purple children’s wallet containing change.
Learner Driver Ignores Speed Laws
A learner driver was caught doing 112 kilometers an hour in a 90 kilometre an hour zone on the New England Highway.
The 25 year old female driver from Gilgandra also failed to display l-plates on the vehicle and was unaccompanied by an authorised person.
The driver was issued an infringement notice.
Crash and Run
At 7am on Friday a blue Ford Falcon sedan was travelling eastbound on the Bunnan Road and was approximately 15 kilometres west of Scone when it lost control on a slight corner, plowed into the northbound side of the road and overturned coming to rest on its roof.
The driver left the scene prior to the Rural Fire Service arriving.
