PM: Only Two People Can Gather

THIS evening the Prime Minister has announced further restrictions to help contain the spread of coronavirus including social gatherings now consist of two people, not ten, which will be enforceable in states and territories.

He has said people should only leave their home for shopping, medical reasons, exercise, work or education.

There is strong advice that people over the age of 70 should self-isolate.

As of tomorrow public playgrounds, outdoor gyms and skate parks will be closed.

States and territories will be moving to put a moratorium for six months on evictions, for both commercial and residential tenancies.

Bredan Murphy, Chief Medical Officer has warned that although rates of spread have slowed, they have not slowed enough.
