Voting: Only number 1-5 and who they should be…

Filed in Just In by September 4, 2024

MANY people have been asked me who I recommend voting for, so here it is:

1: Only vote for 5 people

  • You only need to number 1 to 5 for a valid vote.
  • Fortunately, there are 5 new candidates!
  • Thankfully, you DON’T need to put any numbers beside any of the old Councillors.

2: Who my 1-5 are going to be:

  • In no particular order:
  • MCGILL, Peter – Murrurundi
  • STOLZ, Troy – Merriwa
  • FRASER, George – Moobi/Scone
  • RICHARDS, Chris – Gundy
  • SHIELDS, Earle – Aberdeen

3: Vote 1: Someone in your town above:

  • Each of the candidates above, cover different parts of the Shire.
  • Pick the candidate nearest you and give them you 1 vote.

4: Vote 2: Help a smaller town:

  • Your 2 could help someone from a smaller town, so they get the chance to represent their town or village.
  • Note above, Chris Richards is from the smallest population in Gundy, so think about him.

5: Vote 3 – 5:

  • List the remaining candidates from above from 3 to 5.

Do you enjoy debt spiraling out of control?

  • Well below are the candidates for you!
  • If you love the thrill of a financial trajectory heading at breakneck speed towards a growing pile of debt where you can begin picking up the tab personally with a 33% rate rise…your vision for the Shire can be realised by voting for the following: Maurice Collison, James Burns, Allison McPhee, Adam Williamson, Tayah Clout, Pat Ryan.

Who will be Mayor?

  • Unfortunately voters don’t decide who will be their Mayor.
  • Around here, we vote in the Councillors, and the Councillors do deals to decide which one of them will be Mayor.
  • It’s possible the person with the least number of votes could still be Mayor.
