Off to State Netball Championships
THE Netball New South Wales State Age Championships, one of the largest female sporting events in the Southern Hemisphere will be held this weekend.
The competition is so large now, that no single Association has the court, venue space and facilities to host all four divisions and age groups by itself.
Therefore, multiple Associations are used simultaneously to host the event, which is an incredible effort from all the fantastic volunteer-powered Associations.
The competition will be run over three days with teams from all over New South Wales competing.
This year Campbelltown District Netball Association will be hosting the Championship Divisions, Bankstown City Netball Association Division Two and Illawarra District Netball Association Divisions Three and Four.
Scone and District Netball Association will be sending four teams to Illawarra; the 12s, 13s and 15s will be competing in Division 3 and the 14s in Division 4.
Teams have been training hard since early February, attending many Representative Carnivals in readiness for this weekend.
The teams have all fundraised to help with their costs and players, coaches, managers, parents and the committee of Scone and District Netball has spent many hours organising and preparing for the event.
We would like to wish everyone good luck for the weekend and know you will do yourselves and your association proud.
