Merriwa Wellbeing Superspreaders: “The Flash”
IF you’ve ever seen a shock of grey hair dashing through paddocks east of Merriwa, there’s a good chance it was James ‘The Flash’ Munro in training.
This fifth generation sheep farmer is a very handy sprinter and even made the finals at the World Masters Games.
James is the third person to join the Merriwa Wellbeing Superspreader team, to spread positive wellbeing on behalf of the Where There’s A Will foundation.
Although his own children Millie, Annabelle and Tommy are away at university, James still happily coaches for Little Athletics.
He’s also a man who thinks of the bigger picture and his commitment to Regenerative Agriculture has been recognised with awards for environmental achievement.
When the working day is done he retreats to the garden oasis he has built with wife Mero, a real estate agent for Warburtons in Scone.
James will be joined by nine other handpicked wellbeing superspreaders, to be trained by a certified Wellbeing Coach and unleashed in the Merriwa community.
The Superspreaders will recruit friends and family to join them for training in Mental Health First Aid so they know the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and how to help those in need.
