Merriwa Wellbeing Superspreaders: “The Rescuer”
INTRODUCING Darren ‘The Rescuer’ Marshall, the lastest Where There’s A Will Merriwa Superspreader team member.
Darren grew up in Blackpool in northern England and moved Merriwa where he is a now a paramedic.
His paramedic career was never on the radar, but the strong sense of community and the support of family was a big part of the appeal for Darren and his wife Danielle to return to her Merriwa hometown to raise their children Annabelle 6, and Harry 2.
They’re currently building a new home on five acres, where they plan to create gardens and play space for the kids.
Danielle is a full-time Mum, part-time business consultant, and the treasurer for the St Joseph’s P&F.
Meanwhile, Darren “The Rescuer” Marshall will be busy spreading positive wellbeing throughout Merriwa.
Darren and nine other superspreaders will be trained by a certified Wellbeing Coach for three months, identifying wellbeing goals and given actions and skills to achieve them.
The Superspreaders will also recruit friends and family to join them for training in Mental Health First Aid so they know the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and how to help those in need.
