Merriwa Wellbeing Superspreaders: “The Dynamo”
THE final Merriwa Wellbeing Superspreader member is here, Julia ‘The Dynamo’ Hardy.
Grandmother of nine, Landcare chief, Little Athletics coach, yoga practitioner and avid walker, it’s clear age is only a number for this dynamo lady.
A horticulturalist by trade, the garden is where Julie truly shines and she loves to share her knowledge with others.
She’s propagated thousands of trees over the years, gifting them to friends and rehabilitating landscapes and there are few better when it comes to flower arranging.
Julia’s also still very hands on managing the farm with husband David and is particularly passionate about the Merriwa Show, which has been running for a solid 110 years. With Julia’s enthusiasm behind it, the best is yet to come.
You’ll find Julie walking on the golf course, walking in the bush or walking with friends, so it’s probably fair to say that old age isn’t slowing Julia Hardy down one bit.
She’s fit, she’s vibrant and whether you’re nine or ninety, this woman is a friend to everyone.
That’s what makes her the perfect candidate to help the Where There’s A Will foundation infect Merriwa with positive wellbeing.
Julia “The Dynamo” Hardy will join nine other wellbeing superspreaders and receive three months of training from a certified wellbeing coach, before unleashing her new positive wellbeing skills on the Merriwa community.
Wellbeing Superspreaders will also recruit friends and family to join them for training in Mental Health First Aid, so they know the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and how to help those in need.
