Light Snow Tonight
LIGHT snow is predicted on the Barrington Tops tonight from midnight to the early hours of tomorrow morning down to 1400 metres.
A Bureau of Meteorology spokesperson said there is a weak low pressure system in the Tasman Sea that will bring moist cold air over the tops.
The low will move further into the Tasman on Friday to be replaced by a high pressure system approaching from the west, which will be bring dry and sunny weather.
There is not a lot of snow expected but the low will also bring a chance of light rain late this afternoon across the Upper Hunter with falls of 1-2mm.
Friday will see the rain move across to the coast with the high pressure system moving into the Upper Hunter.
