Letter: Marine Euthanasia

An open letter to the Hon., Barnaby Joyce MP.

Dear Barnaby,

Congratulations on the news that you are expecting a son in June.

Also, more congratulations for your little known European Carp Eradication Program (ECEP). The clueless boffins in CSIRO have gotten nowhere, but your direct approach to drain the rivers is an inspiration. Sure there’s a bit of collateral damage, but don’t worry about a few 100 year old Murray Cod, heck, how long were they going to live anyway? I like to think of it as Marine Euthanasia.

Oh, by the way, we had another short blackout last night. That’s four in as many weeks. You’re a cunning old fox, I know you need to keep in Gina’s good books in case another giant cheque comes your way, or she puts you on her board post politics, but I see where you’re coming from now, and I have taken your hint to install solar PV panels. They go on in a month.
