Learn How To Get Online!
PEOPLE over the age of 50 are invited to take part in ‘Get Online Week 2020’ and learn how to use digital devices at the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre (SNRC).
On Tuesday, October 20 the SNRC is holding an open day with two free training sessions, the first at 10.00am and the second at 11.00am.
Get online week is an international campaign organised by Good Things Foundation and is designed to bring digital inclusion to the elderly community, by getting them connected online safely.
Lee Watts, SNRC manager said the campaign has already been successful and encourages anyone over 50 to book into the October training sessions.
“Anyone who is having trouble connecting online should drop by and have a look at the different methods of digital device use,” Ms Watts said.
“COVID-19 has shown us that it’s so important to keep connected with family and loved ones,” she said.
“The fantastic training modules allow us to teach people of different skill levels safe ways to get online,” she said.
“It doesn’t matter how much or what you need to learn, we have the trainers here ready to help,” said Lee Watts.
