Jane Callinan, who orchestrated the campaign explained it consisted of a video, website and prospectus for people to share online and attract employees to the region.
“The premise of the campaign is ‘get in now because the bypass will be so successful that you’ll wish you had of’,” said Ms Callinan.
Steve McDonald, new general manager for Upper Hunter Shire Council said while the campaign was a good start next steps would be gaining more opportunities for everyone in Scone.
“This prospectus is fantastic and it compares the advantages of Scone as an area,” said Mr McDonald.
“We are currently a marginal seat with an election coming up and we need to make the most of that opportunity and we have 12 months to get the Upper Hunter on the map,” he said.
“We need to start maximising the returns we get in the community,” Steve McDonald said.
