Laneway stabbing in Muswellbrook
TWO men stabbed an 18 year old male whilst he was walking in a laneway between Glenbawn Place and Tobruk Avenue in Muswellbrook last night.
The 18 year old victim was able to walk to a nearby residence to receive assistance after being stabbed in the back and upper arm.
Emergency services were contacted at approximately 6pm to attend to the injured man, who suffered a punctured lung from the stabbings.
He was treated at the scene and then taken to Muswellbrook Hospital, before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
Officers from the Hunter Valley Police District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A crime scene was established and was forensically examined.
