Keeping a Light on for Domestic Violence
TOMORROW night the community is called to a candlelight vigil as part of National Remembrance Day, commemorating women who have lost their lives at the hand of domestic violence.
On average one in four women will be subjected to domestic violence and in Australia one women per week dies.
The vigil will begin at 5pm outside the Scone Council Chambers and donations of non-perishable food items would be appreciated.
The Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre, Upper Hunter Homeless Support and Upper Hunter Shire Council.
