Some of the notable and interesting events which occurred throughout the history of Scone:

• Consecration of St Luke’s churchyard – 1843
  The Church of England’s first Bishop of Australia, William Grant Broughton, was mortified by the lack of religious respect in Scone.

• The Shiralee premiered in Scone – 1957
  The film was shot on location in Scone and MGM’s studios in London.
