Having a Ball at the Festival
LAST night more than 100 people dressed up, put on their dancing shoes and had a great night at the Horse Festival Ball.
The ball was relaunched last year, after falling off the agenda and numbers have swelled already with word circulating that it is a fun night.
“This is the first time we have been to the ball and it was a fantastic night,” said Ms Hatman.
“It is a really friendly crowd and everyone had a great time, we’ll definitely be coming next year,” said Justine Hartman.
Julia Sabugosa and Patrick Cavalho are living in Sydney, but call Rio home, so were surprised when they came to Scone for the weekend to enjoy the Festival and learned Rio was this year’s theme.
“We came up with our friends, who come from Aberdeen and the theme here made us feel at home,” laughed Patrick Cavalho.
Lee Watts, president of the Horse Festival said they were excited to see the Ball is gaining momentum again.
“It is a great night to dress up and celebrate together, we really have a lovely friendly community and it is great to have nights like this together,” said Ms Watts.
“Hopefully next year even more people will want to come and join in the fun,” Lee Watts said.
